Data jams, or how product and analytics stop talking past each other

Product and analytics teams often chase the same goals, just in different languages.

In my experience, alignment starts with shared KPIs and a regular rhythm of working together. We called them “data jams”: sessions where PMs, analysts and designers went through the metrics together and spotted gaps early.

It wasn’t always smooth, but it worked. Once data becomes a team sport, clarity and speed both improve.

I write about product every week on LinkedIn. Say hello if this one was useful.
